JAMNABAI NARSEE SCHOOL


The school is situated in Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme in North Western Mumbai, is a place where a child learns to learn. The school was founded and managed by the NarseeMonjee Educational Trust. It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi and prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination. It is the celebration of the life of a child, for every activity, every class and every event revolves around the child. The school has a track record of academic excellence as well as co-curricular competency in art, sports and other creative fields. It celebrates its credo VidyaParamBalam i.e. “Knowledge is Strength Supreme” through the daily school life of the child. It has over 1500+ students starting from Lower Kinder garden to Senior Secondary.

CHALLENGE:

When approached to introduce the computer curriculum for students, the school desired to implement Computer Masti as an extra co-curricular activity in their club LEC (Life enrichment Centre), after the school timings. As the school introduces Computer as a subject from Year V, they were inclined to provide the basic knowledge and learning to their primary school students through an activity after school hours. Moreover, holding up a computer teacher and school’s system administrator after school timings was also difficult.


SOLUTION PROVIDED:

InopenTechnologies tailored Computer Masti curriculum as an extra co-curricular activity and provided classes after school hours. The school provided their computer labs to conduct classes. Inopen deployed Computer Masti Instructor and a System Administrator to make Computer learning effective. Computer Masti has focused and implemented the Motto of the school which encourages the students to work on their own and understand the aspects of computer by exporing all possible ways to use them effectively.

OUTCOME:

Computer Masti is being carried in the school very efficiently with positive feedbacks and appreciation from the school management, parents and students as well. Now Computer Masti has become a part of the school and will keep imparting great knowledge with fun element for the students. Not to forget, JamnabaiNarsee kids like Computer Masti character ‘Moz’ a lot!!!!


SSRVM MULUND 


The Sri SriRavishankarVidyaMandir (SSRVM) Trust was founded in the year 1999 as a Charitable Spiritual and Educational Public Institution to impart value education in a stress-free and child friendly environment. The SSRVM vision is to enable students to blossom to their fullest potential and the mission is to establish educational institutions where learning is fun. SSRVM Curriculum, Computer Science, 2007 Edition

The teaching material for the SSRVM schools is developed by the SSRVM Academic Council. This supplements the curriculum prescribed by Board (ICSE/CBSE/State) with which a school may be affiliated. Members of the SSRVM Academic Council may induct committees for developing specific parts of the syllabus. All members serve voluntarily and without compensation. Users should check that they have the latest edition of any SSRVM curriculum.

SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL


SUMMARY ABOUT THE SCHOOL:

The School started functioning on 13th June, 1995. The School prepares students for the S.S.C. and ICSE Examination. SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL is founded and managed by the RIZVI EDUCATION SOCIETY. It caters to the educational and cultural needs of the students. They believe that the child is the pivot of all programs and policies and affirm the importance of personal identity of every child. The school endeavors to inculcate in the child the pride of being an Indian and develops in them the love for cultural heritage of India. The teaching staff has been given the academic freedom to function effectively.
The motto of the School is EDUCATION FOR GOODNESS, GROWTH AND GLORY.


BRIEF ABOUT IMPLEMENTATION:

The school had been introduced to Computer Masti through the workshop that was conducted at IIT Bombay. As the school was not following any specific computer curriculum for the primary section, they were very interested in implementing the learning solutions provided through CM in their schools.

We provided the school with the teacher’s training and have successfully trained them in a way that the school can now work on its own and follow the curriculum in the best possible way.


 OUTCOME:

Computer Masti is successfully been implemented where the students at Springfield high school are excited to come to the class and enjoy the story format teaching. They are attracted to Scratch and are able understand the commands easily. They enjoy the Group activities and CM books. The ergonomics and asanas are followed religiously by the students.

The Play and Learn method is appreciated by teachers and they also encourage group involvement.
